Kaliningrad will host a seminar on energy efficiency in housing and communal services and construction
The seminar will look at existing regulations, tasks and ways to increase energy efficiency in buildings, energy efficient construction materials, the role of public associations when implementing energy efficiency programmes, and involvement of civil society in implementing energy efficiency programmes and promoting an energy saving and eco-friendly lifestyle.

The seminar will also introduce the concept of Saint-Petersburg’s Eco-City and industrial construction park as well as European experience in applying energy efficient technologies when renovating buildings. The participants embrace representatives of the authorities, public organizations, businesses, and state-owned companies from Russia (Saint-Petersburg and Kaliningrad), Denmark, and Lithuania.
The seminar will take place on November 24-25, 2011 in the Academy of National Economy. Venue: 18 Artilleriyskaya Street, conference hall, floor 3. Registration starts at 9 a.m.
The seminar is organized by the Information Office of the Nordic Council of Ministers in Kaliningrad within the municipal and energy projects.
