On the 20th of May at 16.00 within the XI Book Festival «With book into XXI century» in the Children Library named after U.Ivanov the winners of the Essay contest “My Scandinavia” will be awarded.

The contest is organized by Kaliningrad Central Library named after Chekhov (Department of Scandinavian Literature) in cooperation with the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Information Office in Kaliningrad. The contest is held within the framework of celebration the 5 year Jubilee of NCM Office in Kaliningrad.

The main purpose of the contest is popularization of Nordic culture and literature among the youth of Kaliningrad region as well as support of the talented and initiative young people (age of 15-20)

The contest has 2 nominations:

- “My discovery in literature” (essay, devoted to particular work of literature or the author of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden);

- “My Scandinavia” (essay, devoted to any aspect of life in Nordic countries: history, culture, environment etc.).
