Nordic Council Session 2010

The Nordic Council Session 2010 will take place in the Icelandic capital Reykjavik from Tuesday 2 November till Thursday 4 November.
The Session will open on Tuesday afternoon with a summit meeting which all the Nordic prime ministers will attend. The theme for this year's summit is: Green growth - the way out of the crisis. After the summit meeting the Finnish prime minister will present the Programme for the Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2011.
On Wednesday 3 November there will be general debate with, amongst other things, the report from the ministers for Nordic co-operation, and plenary debate where the Nordic Council committees' proposals will be discussed. The reports from the Foreign and Defence ministers will be presented on Wednesday afternoon.
The Nordic Council's prizes will be awarded in the Icelandic Opera on Wednesday 3 November 18.30 - 20.00. The Icelandic government's reception will take place in the National Gallery of Iceland immediately after the prize ceremony.
On Thursday 4 November there will be question time and plenary debate, where the Nordic Council's committee cases will be discussed.
The Session gathers prime ministers, ministers and MPs from all the Nordic countries and autonomous territories.
